CMA/LPN/RN - Family Medicine - Altoona (Full-Time)

About the role

The Iowa Clinic is a locally owned and physician-led healthcare organization in Central Iowa, dedicated to exceptional care through collaboration, compassion, and exceeding expectations.

Schedule

• Monday, Wednesday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM
• No night shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing services following established standards and procedures
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and room patients
• Perform phlebotomy and take vitals as needed
• Assist providers with patient triage, identify nursing diagnoses, and formulate care plans
• Spend time listening to and getting to know patients
• Participate in team-building activities and department potlucks
• Engage in monthly volunteer opportunities
• Return patient calls and ensure all patients feel valued

Qualifications

• Desire for a meaningful, fulfilling career in healthcare
• Knowledge of nursing techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments, including phlebotomy
• Exceptional patient care skills
• Ability to prepare and maintain records
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

• Iowa RN license, CMA, or LPN license required
