Family Medicine CMA/LPN/RN - Full Time

About the role

The Iowa Clinic is a locally owned and physician-led healthcare organization in Central Iowa. This position supports Dr. Stephanie Cox in Family Medicine (West Des Moines) with the following schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, and Friday 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM. The role travels between Urbandale, West Des Moines, and Ankeny locations and operates during standard clinic hours with no night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing services following established standards and procedures.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and room patients, including taking vitals.
• Assist providers with patient triage, identify nursing diagnoses, and formulate care plans.
• Spend adequate time with patients to listen and build rapport.
• Participate in team-building activities, such as department potlucks.
• Engage in volunteer opportunities through the clinic’s intranet.
• Return patient calls and ensure all patients feel valued.
• Maintain accurate records and assist providers in a professional manner.

Requirements

• Iowa RN license, CMA, or LPN license required.
• Knowledge of nursing techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses, and treatments.
• Exceptional patient care skills and ability to prepare/maintain records.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
