Responsibilities
- Organizing and maintaining patient records
- A wide variety of clinical nursing support tasks, such as prepping patients for exams, performing basic lab tests, and obtaining medical histories
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Currently certified as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required
- If certified by another accrediting agency, AAMA or NHA certification must be obtained within six (6) months of employment
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of employment
