Clubhouse Recreation Leader 26-27

About the role

The Buffalo Grove Park District is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Clubhouse team, providing before and after school care for elementary-aged children. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact while working in a fun and supportive environment. Opportunities for continued employment as a summer camp counselor may also be available.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage participants in daily program activities at their assigned Clubhouse location
• Lead games, crafts, and recreational activities
• Assist with snack setup and cleanup
• Support lesson plan implementation
• Create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all participants

Requirements

• Mature, responsible, enthusiastic personality
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings and afternoons
• Experience working with children

Qualifications

• No specific educational requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing situations
• Knowledge of child development and safety guidelines

Pay

$16.00+ per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Schedule

• Morning Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:45 AM, 8:15 AM or 9:00 AM
• Afternoon Shift: 2:15 PM, 2:45 PM or 3:15 PM - 6:00 PM
