Clubhouse Assistant Site Director 26-27

About the role

The Buffalo Grove Park District is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and organized individuals to join our Clubhouse team as Assistant Site Directors. This position offers the opportunity to help lead a before and after school program for elementary-aged children while gaining valuable leadership experience. Opportunities for continued employment as a summer camp counselor may also be available.

Responsibilities

• Supervise participants
• Assist with staff leadership
• Plan and implement activities
• Prepare weekly lesson plans
• Foster positive relationships with families, school personnel, and Park District staff

Requirements

• Responsible, reliable, and possess strong communication and leadership skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings and afternoons

Skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
• Knowledge of child development and safety practices

Pay

$17.50+ per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Schedule

• Morning Shift: 6:45 AM – 9:00 AM or 6:45 AM – 8:15 AM
• Afternoon Shift: 2:15 PM – 6:00 PM, or 2:45 PM – 6:00 PM, or 3:15 PM – 6:00 PM
