Responsibilities

  • Consistently engage and involve members in all aspects of the unit, including activity and work planning, and encourage members to assume leadership roles within the unit.
  • Provide a wide range of work opportunities to members and work side by side with members as colleagues.
  • Encourage member participation in the work-ordered day and support a welcoming, inclusive environment.
  • Demonstrate adherence to the Clubhouse philosophy/model in daily conduct.
  • Assist staff in maintaining Transitional Employment (TE), Supported Employment (SE), and Independent Employment (IE) support.
  • Help maintain Transitional Employment (TE) placements by coordinating coverage, communicating with employers, and supporting members in learning job tasks.
  • Conduct outreach to members who are absent or disengaged to promote ongoing participation and connection.
  • Assist members with a wide range of community living needs, including resolving issues with roommates, neighbors, landlords, and housing authorities; navigating the legal system; developing life skills; and managing banking tasks.
  • Assist with planning and facilitating social activities, holiday events, and community outings.
  • Participate in supervision, training, and learning opportunities related to the Clubhouse model and behavioral health.
  • Assist with data entry, attendance tracking, and program reporting tasks.
  • Assist with cooking, grocery shopping, cleaning, and other kitchen tasks.
  • Maintain confidentiality of clients’ care.
  • Participate in scheduled program meetings.
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance per contract requirements required.
  • Cultural competency understanding required.
  • Either:
    • Valid Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification, or
    • Bachelor’s Degree and four years of professional experience in the behavioral health field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.
