Responsibilities
- Assist Chef prep for grille menu, and buffet meals
- Dishwashing duties, dinner wares, pots and pans, utensils, service platters, equipment, and general daily sanitary maintenance
- Maintain clean and full shelves and refrigerators through stocking and helping maintain inventory levels
- Serving and assisting diners is of the utmost importance
- Work during the days leading up to, during, and following homestands as well as some various events throughout the season
Qualifications
- Must be ServSafe certified
- Must be comfortable and safe with basic knife skills, as well as cooking techniques requiring fire and hot temperatures
- 2 years experience in professional kitchens
- Experience and knowledge of cooking from scratch
- Able to abide by safety and sanitary rules of the kitchen to ensure the safest environment for food and the diners
- Able to possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Able to read, or listen to instructions, and follow instructions
- Able to read and comprehend labels and cleaning chemicals
- Able to be available to work a non-traditional schedule that will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to stand for long periods at a time, occasionally climb, stoop, or kneel
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds
