Primary job responsibilities
- Performs routine and stat laboratory tests utilizing automated or semi-automated equipment, kit assays, and microscopic evaluations
- Operates and maintains applicable equipment and testing methods
- Organizes workload to meet service demands
- Performs quality control analyses on all tests assigned
- Determines whether all parameters are within established ranges
- Trains and demonstrates routine laboratory techniques to new employees
- Sends out letters to patients, as delegated by clinic leadership, with lab results or overdue reminder letters for appointments
Requirements
- CLT1: Able to be certified as a Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist with the Washington State Department of Health within 90 days of hire. High School/GED requirements
- CLT2: Able to be certified as a Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist with the Washington State Department of Health within 90 days of hire. High School/GED requirements
- Minimum one-year relevant experience or training in a clinical laboratory or medical setting

Compensation, benefits and position details
Pay Range: Minimum $28.23 hourly, maximum $41.03 hourly. Benefits available at this link. Shift: First shift. Temporary or Regular: Regular. FTE: 100.00%. Union/Bargaining Unit: SEIU 1199NW UWMC Northwest Service and Maintenance.
