Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer

E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our team in Charlottesville, VA in support of the National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC), the Defense Department’s primary producer of ground forces intelligence. NGIC produces scientific and technical intelligence and military capabilities analysis on foreign ground forces required by warfighting commanders, the force modernization and research and development communities, Department of Defense, and national policymakers.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill Tier 1-3 Tenant requests, including monitoring operational environments, provisioning Tenant VPCs, configuring roles, addressing tenant access requests, and escalating service requests as required.
• Apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments; assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
• Operate with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
• Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology related area of study; 3+ years’ experience implementing security principles and administering IT systems. (6 years of experience administering IT systems may substitute for academic degree.)
• 3+ years supporting operations and maintenance for secure information management systems, including monitoring network availability and performing necessary maintenance to support network availability and network security measures.
• 3+ years experience with scripting languages including Bash, Ansible, or YAML.
• 3+ years experience with Linux Operating Systems and command-line interfaces.
• 3+ years experience with Amazon Web Services and containers.
• 3+ years experience with the Windows Operating System and Active Directory.
• 1+ year experience with provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code in a DevSecOps and continuous delivery environment using automation and tools such as Terraform.
• 1+ year experience with Platform as a Service technologies to include Kubernetes.
• Compliance with DoDD 8570.01-M IA certifications; IAT Level II baseline and computing environment certifications such as Security+ and an AWS certification within 30 days of start.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level.

Schedule

• Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, as necessary.
• Shift will likely be approximately 1500 - 2300, Monday through Friday.

Pay

Up to $130K USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. E&M considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
