Cloud Hardware Development Engineer II, Bespoke Solutions
About the role
This role will sit in our new headquarters in Northern Virginia, where Amazon will invest $2.5 billion dollars, occupy 4 million square feet of energy efficient office space, and create at least 25,000 new full-time jobs. Responsibilities
- Development of complex PCB designs incorporating FPGA SoCs
- Support system-level hardware architecture decisions and technical requirements
- Support new product introduction (NPI) processes with contract manufacturers
- Develop and validate high-speed digital and mixed-signal circuits
- Ensure designs meet EMI/EMC compliance, thermal, and signal integrity requirements
- Partner with FPGA/firmware teams to define hardware interfaces and requirements
- Participate in design reviews and drive technical consensus across multiple teams
Qualifications
- Experience with DFx (Design for cost, test, manufacturing)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or experience working in electrical engineering field
- 3+ years of hardware engineering experience
- Experience with FPGA SoC hardware integration, hardware validation and debugging

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. USA, VA, Arlington - 136,000.00 - 184,000.00 USD annually.
