About the role
As a Cloud Engineer Sr Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our intelligence customer in Chantilly, VA. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure that supports scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.
- Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure platforms
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize cloud environments for cost and efficiency
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
- 10+ years of related experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles
- Experience managing AWS and Azure hybrid/multi-cloud environments
- Experience with RHEL system administration
- Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Solid understanding of networking concepts
- Experience with containerization, orchestration, and serverless technologies
- Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph (or eligibility to obtain)
- US citizenship required
- DoD 8570 IAT II Certification

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $164,382 - $201,250. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final pay will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements.
