Cloud Engineer III
Reporting to the Manager of Cloud Engineering, the Cloud Engineer III is responsible for enterprise-level design and expert-level knowledge of Brown University Health’s complex Public and Private cloud infrastructures and components. This role focuses on engineering solutions that encompass performance, security, scalability, best practices, automation, and orchestration. It also provides support for platform-specific infrastructure projects as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions.
- Develop and enforce security policies and compliance measures to protect cloud infrastructure.
- Continuously optimize cloud performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
- Create and manage advanced automation scripts for deployment, management, and scaling of cloud resources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud solutions that align with business objectives.
- Design and implement robust disaster recovery and backup strategies.
- Mentor cloud engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architectures, configurations, and processes.
- Develop and implement comprehensive cloud strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Design and oversee the architecture of complex cloud solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends, driving innovation within the organization.
- Lead large-scale cloud projects, coordinating with various teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level cloud engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of cloud architectures, processes, and best practices.
- Implement advanced security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Advanced certification in one of the major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is required.
- 10+ years of industry experience, with a preference toward large enterprise environments.
- Extensive experience as a Cloud Engineer, with a focus on advanced-level responsibilities.
- Mastery of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Pay
$105,019.20 - $173,264.00
