About the role

Constellation Technologies, Inc is seeking a Cloud Engineer (DevOps) with a TS/SCI clearance and active polygraph. The ideal candidate will have:

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS services and cloud-native architecture patterns.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and AWS services.
  • Write and review code for enterprise scale applications in TypeScript, Python, or OOP.
  • Manage secrets and automate security tasks using tools like SonarQube and Snyk.
  • Design and implement disaster recovery plans.
  • Lead technical initiatives in large-scale environments.
  • Implement security controls and compliance requirements (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP).
  • Conduct security scanning and continuous monitoring.
  • Perform system design focusing on scalability and reliability.
  • Manage database administration and optimization (RDS, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
  • Work with serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, etc).
  • Lead full-stack web development projects (React, Node.js).
  • Participate in ATO processes and security documentation.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with security best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Four (04) years of additional relevant experience on projects with similar processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Five (05) years of professional software engineering experience with significant DevOps focus.
  • Five (05) years of experience with bash/python scripting.
  • Five (05) years of experience with CI/CD tools and practices (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc).
  • Five (05) years of experience with AWS services and cloud-native architecture patterns.
  • Three (03) years of experience with cloud-native technologies and AWS services (ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, SageMaker, RDS, DynamoDB).
  • Three (03) years of experience with IAM policies, security groups, and network security.
  • Three (03) years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation).
  • Three (03) years of experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS) and container orchestration.
  • Three (03) years of experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation.
  • Five (05) years of relevant experience in design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications.
  • Three (03) years software development tools and methodologies using Python.
  • Proven track record implementing security controls and compliance requirements (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP).
  • Three (03) years of experience with secrets management and security automation.
  • Background in security scanning tools and DevSecOps practices (SonarQube, Snyk, etc).
  • DevOps: Monitoring (CloudWatch, Prometheus, etc), logging, and alerting.

Qualifications

  • Three (03) years of experience with disaster recovery.
  • Two (02) years in TypeScript, Python (Or OOP), writing and reviewing code for enterprise scale applications.
  • Container security and runtime protection knowledge.
  • Security compliance automation and continuous monitoring.
  • Database administration and optimization (RDS, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
  • Serverless architecture expertise (Lambda, API Gateway, etc).
  • Background in full-stack web development (React, Node.js).
  • Experience leading technical initiatives in large-scale environments.
  • System design experience with focus on scalability and reliability.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.

Skills

  • AWS Associate Level Certification.
  • AWS Certification at the Professional or Specialty level.
  • AWS Delivery Certified in Solution Services.
