Cloud Engineer (AWS) with Security Clearance

About the role

The Swift Group is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer with a security clearance to join their team in Chantilly, Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures using AWS services
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation and Terraform
• Perform security assessments and implement security best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in AWS cloud engineering
• Security clearance required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Experience with AWS IAM, VPC, S3, EC2, RDS, and other relevant services
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and practices
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell

Qualifications

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders

Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or higher certification preferred
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
