Cloud Engineer (AWS) with Security Clearance

About the role

Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure solutions. Ensures compliance with government security standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Designing and deploying cloud-based storage systems that meet security requirements
• Implementing and managing security measures to protect data in transit and at rest
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall IT strategy
• Monitoring and troubleshooting cloud environments to maintain high availability and performance
• Conducting security assessments and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies
• Training and mentoring team members on cloud security best practices

Requirements

• At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of encryption technologies and security protocols
• Experience with DevSecOps practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud security tools and technologies
• Understanding of network security principles and practices
• Experience with incident response and disaster recovery planning
• Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO, or FedRAMP

Skills

• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience with cloud-native development tools and platforms
• Knowledge of cloud architecture design patterns
• Experience with security auditing and vulnerability management
• Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment
