Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Staff Cloud Engineer plays a pivotal role in optimizing Credit Acceptance's IT infrastructure through cloud-based solutions. This position requires extensive experience in AWS and Azure, as well as hands-on experience with cloud engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain large-scale cloud projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and direction
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and maintainable cloud solutions
• Experiment with new ideas, validate assumptions, and recommend solutions
• Document standards, best practices, and engineering artifacts
• Debug critical problems and execute effective solutions
• Conduct routine environment audits for compliance with established standards
• Maintain application performance, uptime, and scale
• Drive cloud strategy aligned with department and business goals
• Conduct technical due diligence and architectural assessments of third-party technologies
• Support the business by aligning technologies with outcomes

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience designing scalable Cloud/Hybrid environments
• Strong background in AWS and Azure
• Experience developing and managing Infrastructure as Code with tools like Terraform, Ansible, GitHub
• Experience leading technical direction for multiple Cloud/Platform/Development/DevOps/SRE teams
• Extensive experience driving impact on enterprise class applications
• Hands-on experience with LLM integration patterns and at least one LLM gateway or proxy product
