Responsibilities
- Cloud Infrastructure & Azure Operations
- Administer and maintain Azure infrastructure — virtual machines, storage, networking, app services, and backup — with documented configuration standards
- Own day-to-day operational health: review alerts, availability, capacity, performance, security posture, and cost trends
- Partner with DevOps and Engineering on environment readiness, deployment support, and infrastructure changes
- Identity, Access & Security Administration
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID users, groups, roles, enterprise applications, SSO, and conditional access
- Enforce least-privilege and RBAC governance; complete quarterly access reviews for all privileged roles
- Troubleshoot authentication and authorization issues across Microsoft cloud services with IT and Security
- Escalate security, access, or governance concerns promptly and with clear documentation
- Monitoring, Incident Response & Reliability
- Maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting through Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud
- Respond to production-impacting incidents within defined SLA targets; deliver root-cause documentation and track corrective actions to closure
- Report on reliability metrics and infrastructure health; communicate outages, risks, and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Automation, Documentation & Operational Improvements
- Automate routine infrastructure and identity administration using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar tooling
- Maintain current runbooks, access models, architecture documentation, and operating procedures
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and configuration management as the environment matures
- Use Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled tools responsibly to accelerate documentation, analysis, and repeatable process buildout, with human review
Requirements
- 3–5 years in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, IT infrastructure, DevOps operations, or a related technical role
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure infrastructure services and operational tooling
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, access governance, RBAC, conditional access, SSO, and identity troubleshooting
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, incident response, and operational documentation in a cloud environment
- Scripting or automation experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, or Python
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, security principles, backup/recovery, and cloud cost awareness
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500, or SC-300 preferred
Pay
$90,000 - $140,000 per year
