Cloud Engineer

About the role

The Cloud Engineer will deploy, configure, and sustain a CloudOps platform within classified cloud environments. The role involves integrating the platform across AWS and/or Azure classified regions in alignment with federal compliance standards, leading platform buildout and lifecycle management activities, and ensuring compliance with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and DoD SRG frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Securely integrate the platform across AWS and/or Azure classified regions in alignment with federal compliance standards.
• Lead platform buildout and lifecycle management activities, including deployment, upgrades, patching, and Tier 3 escalation support.
• Manage underlying infrastructure components such as Kubernetes, Helm, containerized services, associated databases, governance controls, policy enforcement, and FinOps controls.
• Implement governance controls, policy enforcement mechanisms, and FinOps controls aligned to mission requirements.
• Ensure compliance with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and DoD SRG frameworks and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) status in coordination with Government Authorizing Officials.
• Collaborate with the Delivery Manager to align technical execution with mission priorities while maintaining platform stability, security, and scalability.

• Possess the ability to implement governance controls, policy enforcement mechanisms, and FinOps controls aligned to mission requirements.
• Ensure compliance with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and DoD SRG frameworks and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) status in coordination with Government Authorizing Officials.
• Collaborate effectively with program leadership and stakeholders to align technical execution with mission priorities while maintaining platform stability, security, and scalability.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.

A variety of factors can impact the final salary offered, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specialized skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
