About the role

The Cloud Engineer will support Agile design, development, integration, and deployment of a mission management software for satellite constellations. Key responsibilities include leading, managing, administering, supporting, and enhancing cloud environments to optimize orchestration of SCSs and ensure rapid problem resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native solutions using AWS, OpenShift, or similar platforms.
  • Ensure efficient DevSecOps pipelines through continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Manage and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, including networking, storage, memory, and compute instances.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to implement and maintain cloud environments that support complex mission planning processes.
  • Work within high-security, classified cloud environments to meet rigorous security and performance standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with cloud engineering and infrastructure, such as AWS or OpenShift.
  • Experience with networking, storage, memory, compute instances, and DevSecOps tools like Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and cloud formation.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, software development frameworks, and version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with relational databases, Python, and cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub/GitLab.
  • Ability to work onsite at an accredited SCIF or SAPF to support classified system integration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • Additional 3+ years of experience with cloud engineering and infrastructure, DevSecOps, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Helm, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience in GitHub or GitLab CI/CD pipeline procedures.
  • Knowledge of triaging and resolving networking, storage, memory, compute, or other issues related to both open-source and commercial tools in public cloud environments.
  • Experience creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks.
  • CompTIA Security+, GSEC, CCNA-Security, SSCP, CISSP, or DoD compliance IAT II or III Certification.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, storage, memory, and compute instances.
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and software development frameworks.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and scripting languages.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
  • Ability to work in high-security, classified environments.

Pay

$62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD)

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
