Cloud Engineer

About the Role

Collaborate in the design and implementation of AWS system architectures. Review and provide input to system requirements based on cyber security posture. Compile industry best practices and lessons learned into future designs. Provide architectural analysis of cloud configurations and connections. Support the Engineering Review Board for architectural compliance. Resolve architecture implementation issues during integration and test.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the design and implementation of AWS system architectures
• Review and provide input to system requirements based on cyber security posture
• Compile industry best practices and lessons learned into future designs
• Provide architectural analysis of cloud configurations and connections
• Support the Engineering Review Board for architectural compliance
• Resolve architecture implementation issues during integration and test

Requirements

• TS/SCI Security Clearance with ability to obtain Poly CI
• DoD 8570 Certification Compliance (IAT Level 2/3)
• BS degree and 5+ years consulting, designing, and implementing distributed solutions, plus 3+ years with cloud-based solutions (or 4 years additional experience in lieu of degree)
• Experience in AWS/Cloud technologies including EC2, PaaS (OpenShift), Lambdas, S3 buckets, Reserved Instances
• Familiarity with team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Gitlab, CloudFormation, Terraform)
• Proactive, self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills
