About the role

The Cloud Engineer will support Agile design, development, integration, and deployment of a mission management software for heterogeneous, proliferated satellite constellations. Key responsibilities include leading, managing, administering, supporting, and enhancing cloud environments to optimize orchestration of multiple Space Capability Stacks (SCSs) supporting complex, joint mission planning processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-native solutions
  • Manage and optimize cloud environments for resilience and scalability
  • Ensure efficient DevSecOps pipelines and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD)
  • Support classified cloud-based systems in high-security environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical software

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with cloud engineering and infrastructure, such as AWS or OpenShift
  • Experience with networking, storage, memory, compute instances, and DevSecOps tools
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, software development frameworks, and version control systems
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in cloud environments
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, storage, memory, and compute

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud engineering and infrastructure
  • Experience with cloud formation, regression testing, and monitoring
  • Experience with GitHub or GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of triaging and resolving issues in public cloud environments
  • Experience with creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks
  • Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS CloudOps Engineer – Associate
  • DoD compliance IAT II or III certification

Skills

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS, OpenShift, and Kubernetes
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Pay

$62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD)

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
