About the Role
A leading publicly traded media organization headquartered in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join its growing technology team. This hybrid opportunity requires 3 days onsite and 2 days remote each week. The ideal candidate will bring experience working within a public cloud environment (AWS preferred) and Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform. You’ll support modern CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure provisioning, containerized application deployments, and cloud security initiatives in an established cloud and infrastructure team.

- 35% Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)
- 25% Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- 20% CI/CD & Automation (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- 10% Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- 10% Security, Networking & Identity Management
Daily Responsibilities
- 40% Infrastructure provisioning, maintenance, and optimization
- 25% CI/CD pipeline development and automation initiatives
- 15% Containerized application deployments and support
- 10% Cloud security, networking, and identity management
- 10% Team collaboration, troubleshooting, and operational improvements
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related role
- Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Experience working with Docker or other containerization technologies
- Familiarity with source control platforms such as GitHub
- Understanding of cloud networking concepts, identity management, and security best practices
- Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting infrastructure issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
- Exposure to Kubernetes environments
- Experience managing cloud security posture and compliance initiatives
- Familiarity with Akamai or other CDN/security platforms
- Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Experience working within hybrid or multi-cloud environments
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools
- Background supporting highly available customer-facing applications
