AWS DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (TX, NJ, NC)

About the role

Our client, a leading organization in the healthcare payment solutions industry, is seeking an AWS DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their dynamic team, supporting healthcare payment solutions such as Kaiser Permanente and medical clinics where BOA-issued cards are used for payments.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong collaboration skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization. This position is located in Plano, TX, and is not a remote opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform (IaC)
• Develop and support secure CI/CD pipelines with validation, scanning, and approval gates
• Implement cloud architecture patterns including high availability, failover, and multi-region designs
• Support platform standardization and governance, ensuring auditability and repeatable deployments
• Collaborate with application teams to onboard and migrate workloads to cloud infrastructure

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., VPC, EC2, ECS/EKS, IAM, Route 53, S3, RDS, CloudWatch)
• Proven experience with Terraform, including module development, state management, and debugging
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines including build, scan, approval, and deployment workflows
• Experience with cloud security practices, vulnerability remediation, and compliance controls
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools
