Cloud Computing Application Architect, Senior

About the role

As a cloud computing application architect, you will design a secure, cloud-based communications network to support mission-critical operations. You will lead your team in overcoming the client’s most difficult challenges in the cloud, and you will broaden your skill set in areas like automation and cloud-based security.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud solutions using cloud native tools such as EKS, ECR, or OpenSearch
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) tools
• Work with application development teams across the software development lifecycle to create solutions to complex problems
• Recommend tools and solutions based on research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources
• Lead your team in helping the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud
• Develop critical systems for GEOINT missions

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in microservice architectures
• 3+ years of experience designing and developing cloud solutions using cloud native tools, such as EKS, ECR, or OpenSearch
• 3+ years of experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) tools
• Experience in hybrid solutions with cloud or on-premise infrastructure or multi-cloud strategies
• Experience working with application development teams across the software development lifecycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment

Qualifications

• Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration tools
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Skills

• Experience operating within an Agile environment
• Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
• Experience working with multiple CSPs such as AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle
• Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Our work model supports collaboration and engagement, with employees expected to have their cameras on during meetings. Depending on the role, you may work remotely, in a hybrid setting, or at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
