Senior Cloud Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with expertise in large-scale IT system development, solution design, and cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of enterprise-wide architecture strategies, standards, and frameworks
• Partner with business units, engineering teams, and client stakeholders to align enterprise architecture with business, application, data, and infrastructure needs
• Collaborate with external clients to align Fiserv IT architecture with client requirements, integration objectives, and operational expectations
• Provide architecture guidance for solution design, platform integration, and technology selection across complex environments
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption approaches based on business value, scalability, security, and implementation feasibility
• Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, reference models, and target-state documentation for enterprise initiatives
• Mentor junior architects and technical team members on architecture practices, design reviews, and governance standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
• Experience in large-scale IT system development, design, and implementation
• Experience in solution design
• Experience with database technologies such as Oracle, DB2, and SQL
• 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, including landing zones and management groups
• Experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and environment management
• Experience in the financial services industry
• Experience building greenfield solutions in a cloud environment
• Experience with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) High requirements
• Experience with non-paired regions
• Experience designing disaster recovery solutions that support hot/hot or hot/warm models
• Experience serving as a cloud architect expert and technical lead, mentoring others and using influence to move initiatives forward by clearing obstacles

To succeed in this role, you should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in cloud technologies and a deep understanding of financial services are also essential.

Pay

$146,000.00 - $244,800.00 These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
