Cloud Computing Application Architect, Senior
About the role
As a cloud computing application architect, you will design a secure, cloud-based communications network to support mission-critical operations. You will recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You will lead your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop cloud solutions using cloud native tools such as EKS, ECR, or OpenSearch
- Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) tools
- Work with application development teams across the software development lifecycle to create solutions to complex problems
- Lead your team in overcoming client’s most difficult challenges in the cloud
- Broaden your skill set in areas like automation and cloud-based security
- Develop critical systems for GEOINT missions
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in microservice architectures
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing cloud solutions using cloud native tools
- 3+ years of experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) tools
- Experience in hybrid solutions with cloud or on-premise infrastructure or multi-cloud strategies
- Experience working with application development teams across the software development lifecycle
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration tools
Qualifications
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- High school diploma or GED
Skills
- Experience operating within an Agile environment
- Experience acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
- Experience working with multiple CSPs such as AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle
- Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
