Cloud Billing & Optimization Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a FinOps expert with experience in managing cloud discount instruments, particularly those related to Azure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex finance and billing, and will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our autonomous cloud management system.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Azure discount instruments
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for cloud spend
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
• Perform data analysis to inform decision-making processes
• Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of Azure discount instruments and cost optimization strategies

Requirements

• Proven problem-solving skills
• Comfortable with mathematical concepts and financial analysis
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Experience with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
• Hands-on experience with AWS and GCP (a plus)
• Deep knowledge of Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and cost & usage data
• Basic finance and accounting knowledge

Qualifications

• Experience working with Azure discount instruments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
