Cloud Architect/Engineer - Senior

Responsibilities
- Designs, implements, and manages cloud infrastructure and systems, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and efficient.
- Migrates on-premises systems to the cloud, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption.
- Automates infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and management tasks using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
- Monitors cloud resource usage, identifies areas for cost reduction, and implements strategies to optimize cloud spending.
- Implements and maintains security measures to protect cloud-based systems and data, including access controls, encryption, and network security.
- Diagnoses and resolves issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications, providing support to other teams as needed.
- Maintains monitoring and performance of cloud systems, identifying potential issues, and implementing necessary maintenance and upgrades.
- Collaborates with other teams, including development, DevOps, and security, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of cloud initiatives.
- Stays up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices to ensure the organization's infrastructure remains modern and efficient.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
- A bachelor's degree and/or 5 years of experience.
- A strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud), cloud services, virtualization, networking, and security.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell) and automation tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- An understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess:

Pay
The estimated salary range for this role is $90,700.00 - $223,200.00 per year.
Schedule
This position is located in our Lafayette, LA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
