Closure Monitor Agent

About the Role

The Closure Agent documents and records all information from posted meter closures throughout the City of Chicago.

Schedule

• Tuesday to Saturday, 7:00am to 3:00pm (1st Shift)
• Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Compensation

• Hourly Pay: $17.30 + $1.10 Incentive Pay = $18.40 per hour
• Union: Teamsters Local 727

Responsibilities

• Photograph City signs which close metered parking spaces
• Record information from City signs to determine the length and time of a closure
• Complete a Closure form documenting all Closures discovered throughout the city
• Verify permits provided by the city are compliant with the number of spaces obstructed
• Measure in linear feet how much parking is affected by the closure or obstruction
• Report any issues found as field discoveries to Central dispatch
• Follow all LAZ Parking procedures for field operations
• Other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in General Labor
• General knowledge of City of Chicago streets

Physical Demands

• Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
• Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift
