The starting pay range for this position is $24.50 - $26.50 per hour. The full pay range is $24.50 - $41.65 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

About the Role
The Closing team continues the momentum from the team’s day of hard work to finish strong, prioritizing through the eyes of the guest. They ensure the store is set up for success the next day by executing closing routines, maintaining a guest-first culture, and driving sales and profitability.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and creating equitable experiences
- Prioritize the guest experience by modeling, training, and coaching service standards
- Understand and contribute to total store profitability and sales growth
- Lead and execute best practices, closing skill gaps through coaching and development
- Problem-solve and prioritize across multiple business areas to deliver results and meet sales goals
- Support store operations by ensuring departments are zoned, in-stock, signed, and labeled appropriately
- Use business planning tools to share priorities and updates with store leadership
- Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team
- Hold team members accountable to expectations and provide performance feedback
- Follow all safe and secure training processes, including physical security and merchandise protection
- Support guest services such as order pickup, Drive-Up orders, and returns while maintaining compliance
- Engage with guests in a welcoming manner and address their needs
- Model and lead a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- Address store emergency and compliance needs promptly
Requirements
- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable
- Experience with handheld scanners, frequency devices, and other technology equipment
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and workload management skills
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Interpret instructions, reports, and information accurately
- Handle cash register operations as needed
- Climb up and down ladders
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance
- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable and prompt attendance
- Capable of working in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout)
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
Although the role is full-time, it does not guarantee 40 hours each week. Hours depend on business needs and may fluctuate.
