About the role

The Closing Team Account Manager plays a key role in supporting both the Independent Agent Account Managers and the Key Account Manager team. This position is responsible for managing active opportunities, maintaining CRM accuracy, and driving business to closure. Acting as the inside connection for agents and outside sales, this role ensures that opportunities are followed through, captured accurately, and transitioned smoothly to Project Management once orders are received.

What to Expect

The Closing Team Account Manager supports the Independent Agent Account Managers by responding to agent inquiries, updating opportunities, and assisting with quotations and follow-ups. They partner with the Key Account Manager team to provide inside support, ensuring smooth communication and execution while outside sales are on the road.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Independent Agent Account Managers by responding to agent inquiries, updating opportunities, and assisting with quotations and follow-ups.
  • Partner with the Key Account Manager team to provide inside support, ensuring smooth communication and execution while outside sales are on the road.
  • Maintain CRM data integrity — including opportunity values, close dates, and probability percentages.
  • Drive opportunities to closure by coordinating with agents, customers, and internal teams to secure purchase orders.
  • Prepare and manage documentation for handoff to the Project Management team once orders are received.
  • Collaborate with quotations, operations, and project management to ensure that all information required for order entry and execution is accurate and complete.
  • Communicate order status updates and manage customer expectations through the close of sale.
  • Track and report progress on key sales metrics, including pipeline activity and conversion rates.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in inside sales, account coordination, or customer service — preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a focus on closing business accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with external agents and internal teams while maintaining a strong sense of ownership.
