About The Role

Zillow Group is seeking a Closing Coordinator to join the Customer Experience & Closing Team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service via phone, email, and SMS text messages.
  • Managing the closing pipeline, collaborating with closers and other operational stakeholders to ensure timely and smooth closings.
  • Reviewing and uploading purchase contract information to files.
  • Partnering with third-party vendors for timely document delivery and processing.
  • Collecting and delivering necessary information to buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders.
  • Preparing closing fees, calculating recording fees and title charges, processing invoices, and disbursing payments.
  • Preparing closing documents according to client preferences and local regulations.
  • Collaborating with adjacent operations teams, including exam, curative, funding, and post-closing, to ensure seamless workflows.
  • Providing feedback to Spruce product, engineering, and data science teams for workflow and feature enhancements.

This role is remote, allowing employees to work from any location in the 50 United States, subject to certain exceptions. Compensation includes a competitive base salary and eligibility for equity awards based on experience, performance, and location. Who You Are

The ideal candidate should have extensive customer service experience within or adjacent to real estate transactions, particularly in title and escrow roles. They must possess a strong customer service mindset, prioritize tasks efficiently, and demonstrate proficiency with various technologies, especially workflow tools for managing phone and email communications. Key attributes include:

  • Extensive customer service experience, preferably in real estate transactions.
  • Experience with title and escrow processes at a national scale.
  • A customer-centric approach, placing the needs of buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders above all else.
  • Proficiency in using various technologies, particularly workflow tools for managing customer interactions.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, adept at handling multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • An eye for detail, capable of accurately and thoroughly reviewing and preparing financial and settlement documentation.
  • Adept at understanding and adhering to local and state regulations and nuances.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented attitude towards problem-solving.
  • A willingness to collaborate with technical teams for product enhancements and feature development.
  • An enthusiasm for growing within the role and developing skills for senior positions.
