Responsibilities

  • Provide rapid response to adults, children, adolescents, and families experiencing emotional or behavioral disturbances.
  • Conduct risk assessments with a diagnosis, mental status examinations, and substance abuse screenings.
  • Develop, implement, and follow up on crisis stabilization and safety plans.
  • Coordinate with community resources and provide referrals for mental health and substance abuse treatment.
  • Work directly with clients in their homes or community settings to provide short-term crisis intervention and stabilization services.

Requirements

  • Masters' degree (MSW/MHC) and two years of related experience required.
  • LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R, MHC – LP, or MSW-LP licensure required.
  • MSW-LP holders must be license eligible and willing to apply for a limited permit upon hire.
  • MHC-LP holders must already have obtained their limited permit and be close to finishing required clinical hours.
  • Willing to pass and obtain licensure within 3 months of hire.
  • Valid NYS Drivers License and willingness to travel to clients' homes and communities under various circumstances and weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work in different settings, including clients' homes and other community locations.
  • Rotating weekend and holiday shifts required.
