About the role
The role involves providing crisis intervention services to individuals in distress. This includes assessing situations, implementing safety plans, and facilitating referrals to appropriate resources.
Responsibilities
- Conducting assessments and developing safety plans for clients in crisis
- Providing immediate support and counseling services to individuals experiencing emotional distress
- Facilitating referrals to community resources and mental health professionals
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all interactions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in crisis intervention or mental health field
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients
