About the role

Sweetser is searching for a residential clinician to join the team in Winterport. This position will serve a small caseload of children/adolescents, their families, guardians, and other care providers through individual, group, and family therapy in a residential setting. In conjunction with the residential supervisor, provides clinical leadership to program staff by implementing the treatment plan in the residential milieu.

Responsibilities

• Use organization’s established tools and procedures to formulate assessment of the child/adolescent and his/her family, including level of care and risk assessments as needed. Involve family members and significant others. Complete assessment to make diagnosis with possible collaboration with others.
• With the child/adolescent and his/her family, develop an Individualized Service Plan (ISP), Individual Crisis Management Plan (ICMP), and a Discharge and Aftercare Plan and other documents associated with the Record such as the Initial Assessment (IA) or Service Update (SUD).
• Offer treatment to the child/adolescent and his/her family by using family-centered clinical techniques and therapies (including individual, group, and family therapy as indicated).
• Assist in developing and monitoring specialized behavioral programs, as indicated.
• Identify concrete service needs and help the family make a referral for community-based services.
• Achieve program-specific productivity expectations. Maintain historical records by documenting service delivery and ensuring the timely completion of all programmatic paperwork, documentation, and electronic records.
• Assure quality service for clients by enforcing rules, regulations, and legal requirements with clients. Adhere to professional code of ethics.
• Attend and participate in supervision. Complete necessary documentation to ensure funding.
• Provide a clinical experience for student interns as appropriate.
• Ability to transport clients.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in either social work, psychology, clinical counseling, or other comparable mental health program.
• Fully licensed or conditionally licensed as an LCSW, LCPC, LMSW, or LMFT.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Experience in a residential-based service system preferred.
• Persons with lived experience in the Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse system are encouraged to apply.

• Demonstrated competence in discipline.

Pay

Salary Range:

• Conditional Licensure: $60,000 - $62,000 dependent on years of experience
• Independent Licensure: $62,000 - $70,000 dependent on years of experience
