Clinical Year Faculty-Assistant Professor

Emory University School of Medicine Physician Assistant program
Description
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Educator to join our Physician Assistant Program. The ideal candidate will excel in both independent and team-based environments, contributing to teaching, scholarship, and service activities while supporting the clinical and didactic phases of the program.
Specific Responsibilities
Teaching, Scholarship, and Service: Engage in teaching, scholarship, and service activities
Curriculum Development: Plan, coordinate, and develop the clinical year curriculum
Student Support: Provide academic advisement and mentorship to students
Faculty Development: Engage in ongoing faculty development
Program Coordination: Coordinate with and support the didactic year
Participate in ongoing program evaluation and planning
Assist in ongoing program evaluation and accreditation compliance
Clinical Partnerships: Foster collaboration with other healthcare professionals
University Representation: Serve as an ambassador for the University, School, and Program through outreach, and/or participation in internal and external service activities
Additional Responsibilities
Assist in the student admissions process
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the program director
Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher
Current NCCPA certification
Current GA license or eligible for GA license
Preferably minimum of 3 years clinical experience
Clinical preceptor experience
Faculty experience preferably in PA education
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Interest in the program mission
Effective communication skills and able to use various communication tools
Able to effectively work independently as well as in a team environment
