About the role
The University of South Carolina (USC) Arnold School of Public Health seeks a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Master of Science in Performance Nutrition and Dietetics (MS/PND) program. This position focuses on coordinating supervised experience courses and supporting the program's development.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and teach MS/PND program supervised experience courses
- Aid in program data collection and maintain relationships with preceptors
- Mentor graduate students in the program
- Oversee and manage coordination of supervised experience rotations
- Cultivate meaningful learning experiences for students within the program
- Serve as a custodian of preceptor-student relations
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credential
- Master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, exercise science, or a related field by August 16, 2026
- Experience mentoring and/or precepting
- Post-credentialing professional dietetics experience
- Relevant dietetics experience
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to serving as a custodian of preceptor-student relations
- Ability to support the program director in cultivating meaningful learning experiences for students
- Experience overseeing and managing coordinated supervised experience rotations
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to mentor and guide graduate students
- Knowledge of dietetics and performance nutrition practices
