The University of Michigan School of Nursing (UMSN) invites applications for a full-time, 12-month clinical-track faculty position beginning in the 2027-2028 academic year. Responsibilities

• Didactic and/or clinical instruction in undergraduate specialty areas:
  • Behavioral Health Nursing
  • Medical-Surgical Nursing
  • Obstetrics Nursing
  • Pediatric Nursing
• Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in clinical education, healthcare delivery, and student mentorship.
• Participate in the development and implementation of innovative curricular activities.
• Collaborate with faculty regarding visionary educational programs.
• Promote the School of Nursing’s Declaration of Values:

All undergraduate courses are delivered in person.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Nursing.
• Nursing license in the State of Michigan (current licensure or willingness to obtain licensure).
• Demonstrated clinical teaching ability and practice excellence in a defined relevant area of clinical expertise.
• Current clinical experience in a practice-relevant role.
• Evidence of increasing service to the profession and academic community.
• A record of scholarly attainment including publications, evidence-based practice guidelines, and other forms of scholarship.
• Demonstrated excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.

Prior to the start date, candidates must be compliant with all health requirements, including standard precautions such as Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, orientations, licenses/certifications, policies, and procedures for assigned classrooms and/or clinical sites.
