The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC seeks applicants for a part-time (50% FTE), non-tenure track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor of Dentistry in the Department of Dental Public Health and Community Outreach for the Section of Mobile Clinic Programs.
Responsibilities
- clinical supervision and instruction of USC dental students at affiliated satellite mobile community clinics within Los Angeles
- serving mainly children and adolescents
- coordination of services and auxiliary staff at these sites
- some teaching at the pre-doctoral level at the School and School clinics
Requirements
- a DDS or DMD degree and be licensed to practice in the State of California
- additional education (MS, MPH)
- clinical training (AEGD, GPR, Advanced Pediatric Training)
- strong experience caring for underserved children
Qualifications
- strong academic credentials
- commitment to public health and community outreach
Skills
- ability to supervise and instruct dental students
