Clinical Assistant Professor

The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC seeks applicants for a part-time (50% FTE), non-tenure track position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor of Dentistry in the Department of Dental Public Health and Community Outreach for the Section of Mobile Clinic Programs.

Responsibilities

• clinical supervision and instruction of USC dental students at affiliated satellite mobile community clinics within Los Angeles
• serving mainly children and adolescents
• coordination of services and auxiliary staff at these sites
• some teaching at the pre-doctoral level at the School and School clinics

Requirements

• a DDS or DMD degree and be licensed to practice in the State of California
• additional education (MS, MPH)
• clinical training (AEGD, GPR, Advanced Pediatric Training)
• strong experience caring for underserved children

Qualifications

• strong academic credentials
• commitment to public health and community outreach

Skills

• ability to supervise and instruct dental students
• experience working with underserved populations
