Key Responsibilities
- Traineeship Assess training needs using evaluations, surveys, and collaboration with agency leadership.
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging in-person, virtual, and hybrid trainings across programs.
- Create training content, materials, and experiential activities that reflect agency values and clinical vision.
- Update and maintain training materials and intranet pages.
- Aid in training evaluations and update materials to reflect current clinical vision and best practices.
- Support agency-wide training initiatives, including Calm Every Storm trainings and advanced clinical modules.
- Adapt trainings and delivery to meet diverse learning styles, program needs, and clinical complexity.
- Cook up logistics for trainings, including scheduling, technical setup, room reservations, and certificates.
- Ensure all trainings align with licensing, accreditation, and funding requirements.
Clinical Support
- Serve as a liaison between programs, internal workgroups, and the Training Department.
- Partner with program leadership to assess training requests and manage workflows.
- Communicate with staff and leadership about training initiatives, including advanced clinical topics.
- Participate in clinical and training meetings to promote consistency and alignment across programs.
- Participate in the Learning and Development Collaborative and other workgroups.
Administration & Systems Support
- Manage Training Help Desk requests and Relias system maintenance.
- Support Continuing Education (CE) program and other Training Team initiatives.
- Complete assigned trainings in a timely manner.
- Support other Training Team and People Team initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
- Current California clinical license (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or PsyD/PhD).
- Valid California driver’s license and access to registered and insured transportation.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in healthcare or behavioral health, with advanced experience in mental health, co-occurring disorders, or trauma-informed care.
- Experience in a training capacity or other transferable experience (e.g., designing and delivering trainings, giving presentations, etc.), including for clinical or multidisciplinary staff.
- Experience mentoring or coaching staff and leadership to enhance clinical competency (preferred).
- Experience providing clinical consultation, guidance, or supervision to programs or staff (preferred).
- Experience developing and delivering Continuing Education (CE) trainings for behavioral healthcare professionals (preferred).
- Experience within large, multi-site community-based or nonprofit organizations (preferred).
- Experience with Medi-Cal documentation and DHCS regulations (preferred).
- Experience with learning management systems, preferably Relias LMS or Articulate 360 (preferred).
- Experience creating visual or graphic content to support training materials, communications, or job aids using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms (preferred).
