Clinical Team Supervisor (Medical Assistant)
About the Role
Under the supervision of the Manager, Site Operations, the Supervisor, Clinical Team (MA) is responsible for overseeing all medical assistant clinical processes within the department(s)/team(s) assigned. This includes patient intake, assisting medical providers, injections, maintaining exam rooms, and related tasks. The role also ensures cross-training of medical assistants, coordinates patient flow, facilitates staff training, participates in hiring, manages inventory, and assists with compliance and audits.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Medical Assistants on the clinic floor and direct patient flow for regular and drop-in appointments.
- Ensure all medical assistants are cross-trained and up-to-date with clinical skills.
- Handle complaints regarding clinical services.
- Assist with medical assistant functions to maintain effective patient flow.
- Assist practitioners during examinations as needed.
- Clean, sterilize, and stock reusable instruments; maintain adequate supplies.
- Test medical and laboratory equipment for effective functioning.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies, vaccines, and other necessary items.
- Supervise vaccine programs and serve as the clinic vaccine coordinator.
- Assist with audits and ensure corrections are implemented.
- Assist Site Manager with hiring clinic staff.
- Coordinate and facilitate staff trainings and meetings.
- Assist with medical assistant scheduling.
- Maintain electronic health record entries (EPIC) for patient visits within designated timelines.
- Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure excellent patient care delivery.
- Review and approve staff time-off requests and timecards.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification from an accredited school.
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical MA experience.
- Current BLS certification.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday hours.

Pay
$29.99 - $36.33 hourly, depending on experience.
