About the role
Clinical Team Leader, serving as the charge nurse and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment for patients.
Responsibilities
- Provides frontline leadership and decision-making for clinical staff.
- Develops staffing plans based on patient acuity and oversees daily unit operations.
- Monitors workflow, adjusts staffing to support fiscal and care goals.
- Coordinates patient flow, ensuring timely admissions and discharges.
- Assists in achieving departmental and organizational objectives related to patient experience, quality, and length of stay.
- Participates in process improvement initiatives and peer evaluations.
- Supports investigations of clinical occurrences and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- BSN from an accredited nursing program.
- Completion of charge nurse training and competencies.
- Current RN license in Texas or a compact license.
- Clinical certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc., appropriate for the clinical area.
- Advanced specialty certifications (e.g., CCRN, CEN, RNC) or willingness to obtain within 2 years.
