Clinical Team Lead - Med Surg - Days

Role: Clinical Team Leader, responsible for providing direct patient care as the charge nurse and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment. Responsibilities: Leads departmental staff, oversees daily operations, and manages patient flow to optimize care quality and efficiency. Key Duties Include Developing and adjusting staffing plans based on patient acuity and care needsMonitoring workflow and supporting fiscal goalsFacilitating efficient patient admission and discharge processesSupporting department and organizational objectives such as patient experience and quality metricsParticipating in process improvement initiatives and peer evaluationsAssisting with investigations of incidents and other assigned tasks Qualifications: BSN from an accredited school, current RN license (Texas or compact), and completion of charge nurse training or willingness to complete within 90 days. Certifications: Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardio Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, NRP, and advanced specialty certifications (e.g., CCRN, CEN, RNC), with a plan to obtain certifications within two years.
