Role Overview
The Clinical Team Leader serves as the charge nurse, providing direct patient care while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and make decisions for departmental staff to ensure quality care.
- Develop staffing plans based on patient needs and oversee daily operations.
- Monitor workflow, adjust staffing to meet fiscal goals, and facilitate efficient patient flow.
- Assist in achieving departmental objectives related to patient experience, length of stay, and quality metrics.
- Participate in department initiatives, process improvements, peer interviews, and investigations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN required.
- Current RN license in Texas or a compact license.
- Completion of charge nurse training and clinical certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
- Advanced specialty certification or willingness to obtain one within 2 years (e.g., CCRN, CEN).
