Clinical Nurse Team Lead - Full Time - Night Shift

About the role

The Clinical Team Leader acts as the charge nurse, providing direct patient care and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and make decisions for staff, maintaining quality care.
• Develop staffing plans based on patient needs and oversee daily operations.
• Monitor workflow, adjust staffing for efficiency, and coordinate patient flow.
• Support achievement of departmental and organizational goals related to patient experience, length of stay, and quality metrics.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives, peer interviews, and incident investigations.
• Assist in employee evaluations and other assigned duties.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN required).
• Completion of charge nurse training within 90 days if hired externally.
• Current RN license in Texas or a compact license.
• Clinical certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.
• Advanced specialty certification or willingness to obtain within 2 years (e.g., CCRN, CEN, RNC).

Work Environment

The role involves night shifts (7pm-7am) and requires leadership, clinical expertise, and organizational skills to support unit operations and patient care excellence.
