RN - Nurse Lead, Full Time, Night Shift

About the Role

Provides unit-based leadership by collaborating with staff, physicians, and management to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while ensuring safety and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing and ancillary staff, delegates patient care activities, and participates in direct patient care when needed.
• Develops and implements care plans, promotes cultural competence, and enhances patient and family satisfaction.
• Ensures compliance with safety standards, quality measures, and hospital policies through participation in performance improvement initiatives.
• Manages staffing based on patient acuity, evaluates staff performance, and handles hiring, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinates with facility services to maintain department safety, equipment functionality, and cleanliness.
• Assesses operational needs, optimizes resource utilization, and manages departmental budgets to minimize overtime.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent; Master's preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Supervisory experience and clinical expertise required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory; additional certifications preferred.
