Clinical Support Tech Full-time Days

Job Summary

The Clinic Clinical Support II provides advanced clinical support in an outpatient clinic setting under the supervision of licensed providers. This role performs a wide variety of patient care tasks, clinical procedures, and administrative functions to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

Essential Functions

• Collect and document patient history, vital signs, and screening information.
• Prepare patients and examination rooms for provider evaluation and procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations, and assist with laboratory procedures according to established protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by providers and within scope of practice.
• Absorb minor procedures using aseptic techniques.
• Communicate test results and provide patient education under provider supervision.
• Maintain and operate clinical equipment according to safety standards.
• Support care coordination by obtaining reports and records, and participating in pre-visit planning.
• Document care provided in electronic medical record accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with providers, nurses, and team members to promote quality care and patient satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Required: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant, EMT, or LPN program
• Required Licenses/Certifications: Medical Assistant (CMA preferred), OREmergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) within time frame required by facility policy
