Clinical Support Specialist - Charleston/Parkersburg WV
About the role
The Clinical Support Specialist ("CSS") role provides both onsite/in-person clinical facilitation and remote administrative duties. While the role may have the potential to become hybrid in the future, it is currently anticipated to be full-time onsite at partnering facilities.
Responsibilities
- Onsite Clinical Facilitation
- Assist patients by offering education related to their behavioral health visits, whether the treating clinician is conducting the visit in person or via telehealth
- Provide technical support and assistance for telehealth visits, including room and equipment preparation
- Support clinicians by accessing vitals and other relevant data from the facility's EMR
- Procure patient referral documents as needed
- Act as a liaison between clinicians and facility staff
- Interact with staff and/or family members as necessary
- Maintain responsibility for proper handling and cleaning of MTC Care equipment
- Behavioral Health Integration ("BHI")
- Complete assigned BHI cases within the required timeline by gathering necessary information from patient medical records and entering it into the company's BHI system/software
- Clinician Support
- Provide assistance to assigned clinicians by accessing the facility's EMR and recording relevant data into the company's EHR system in preparation for clinical visits
- Work closely with clinicians to ensure patient visits run smoothly and efficiently
All Clinical Support Specialists are expected to perform these core functions as assigned. Responsibilities may change based on scheduling, facility partner needs, clinician needs, and industry changes.
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma required
- 1+ year in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required
- Medical Assistant or CNA certification a plus
Skills
- Basic working knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience using online healthcare tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to maintain full confidentiality and compliance with sensitive medical information, including HIPAA-protected information and PHI
- Commitment to providing platinum-level customer service and communication

Physical and Environmental Requirements
- A dedicated home office space with a closing door, free from distractions, and meeting HIPAA/PHI standards
- A reliable home internet connection
- A valid driver's license and reliable mode of transportation
- Ability to travel up to 1 hour in any direction from home office to cover clinics when needed
- Ability to stand, walk, see, speak, hear (both in person and remotely), use hands/fingers to type or use manual equipment, and reach with hands and arms
- Regularly required to stoop, bend, or crouch
- Close-up corrected vision
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30 lbs. without restrictions
- Ability to remain sedentary for long periods during administrative tasks
- Potential exposure to bodily fluids, viruses, or other infectious diseases within a healthcare facility
- Potential exposure to cleaning chemicals used within a healthcare facility
