Surgical Suite / OR - 411 Syracuse, NY Leadership
Full-Time, Evenings, 1:00pm-9:30pm Monday-Friday and other shifts as needed

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate services in the daily operations of the department.
• Operate within the framework of the objectives and policies for defined patient populations.
• Assume responsibility for hiring, discipline, education, administration and terminating functions.

Requirements

• Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or a Bachelor’s degree in another field with current matriculation in a Master’s in Nursing degree program with an established program end-date required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire or within 6 weeks after hire.
• Three (3) years’ experience as a staff nurse with a demonstrated expertise in a clinical field (Operating Room or Surgical Nursing).
• Certification in a specialty area preferred.
• Previous nursing leadership work experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of MS Outlook.
