About the role
The Clinical Supervisor RN PCU in McAllen is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff on the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PCU).
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the PCU, ensuring patient care standards are met.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing staff.
- Conduct regular rounds to assess patient needs and ensure quality care.
- Manage staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
- Participate in performance evaluations and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in a critical care setting
- Experience in supervisory roles preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of post-anesthesia care protocols
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Proficiency in computer systems used for patient care documentation
